Tucker Carlson took aim at DailyWire founder Ben Shapiro on Friday, saying he supported the “evil” and “intentional” killing of Palestinian civilians.

The former Fox News host made the remarks during an exchange with British broadcaster Piers Morgan in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, during a joint filming for their respective programs. The two were attending the Riyadh Real Estate Forum, a government-sponsored event centered on the Saudi real-estate market.

“If you’re intentionally killing civilians, you probably shouldn’t beat your chest and brag about it,” the former Fox News host told Morgan at one point in their exchange. “Maybe you make the case that we had to do it or whatever, but you should weep … that’s evil and you should just say it’s evil.”

Carlson added, “I know that’s threatening to Ben Shapiro to say that or whatever,” as Morgan attempted to interject, saying, “Is it evil though? Is it evil?”

Morgan countered, “Because I think there is a moral right behind you if … there’s a world war that threatens the entire world.” Amid some back-and-forth, he asked Carlson whether he believed any war was “morally justified.”

“All I’m saying is, look, it’s all ugly, it’s hard to stomach,” Carlson said.

The comments were the latest in a long-standing back-and-forth between Carlson and Shapiro. Carlson has previously said that he “despises” Shapiro. Explaining his position in 2023, he said Shapiro’s support for Israel could “destroy” the United States.

Responding to Carlson at the time, Shapiro called the statement “astonishing” and said, “I would never doubt his love for the country even though he and I disagree wildly about a number of topics.”

“I think it’s part and parcel of something that Tucker has had a habit of doing recently, which is, ‘We disagree, therefore, you don’t care about the people that I care about. You don’t care about the country. …  As for the notion, by the way, that his people have been here for hundreds of years — all four of my grandparents on both sides have been here since the early 1900s. So over a century, my family has been here on both sides of the aisle. I also have no intention of moving… I don’t know what more there is to say about that other than it’s an absurd accusation. It’s unfortunate.”
